DATALYS CENTER FOR SPORTS INJURY RESEARCH AND PREVENTION, INC
The Datalys Center for Sports Injury Research and Prevention, Inc is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Research Assistant.
 
About Us:
The Datalys Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that specializes in epidemiological research specifically related to sports and other forms of physical activity, primarily in the collegiate, high school, and youth sport settings. Clients include national sport governing bodies, sport associations, as well as private companies. The Datalys Center conducts surveillance studies and other forms of longitudinal and cross-sectional studies ranging from multicenter and multiyear aetiology and intervention studies to simple one-time surveys. Job Description:
The Research Assistant will support Datalys programs by assisting with participant training, project procedural support, and data management. The Research Assistant will work closely with other Datalys Center staff members to assure deliverables are completed to specification and in a timely manner. The Research Assistant will be able to work well with others and apply professional communication and problem-solving skills to meet program objectives.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide participant training
  • Provide project procedural support
  • Assist with data management and data auditing
  • Assist with data review and cleaning 
  • Assist in the development of program specific NIH common and unique data elements
  • Liaison with outside organizations
  • Assist the Project Coordinator and others in other tasks as assigned 
Other:
  • Help to promote the organization by attending conferences or other meetings as needed (may require travel and eligible expenses will be reimbursed by the organization) 
  • Must be at the office during regular business hours (8am-5pm ET Monday through Friday) unless attending offsite project meetings or completing other related job functions
  • Travel may be required 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, athletic training, kinesiology or related field with relevant experience 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in health sciences, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, athletic training, kinesiology or related field
  • Data management experience
  • Research experience with human subjects
  • SAS or other statistical software experience
